I have been in practice as a psychotherapist for over 37 years.  I work interactively and collaboratively in both long-term and short-term therapies.  I am licensed as a Clinical Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with a racially and socially diverse range of individuals and couples on a wide variety of issues:

  • Depression and anxiety
  • Stress and trauma
  • Coping with acute illness, loss and grief
  • Gay and lesbian individuals, couples, and issues
  • Couples contemplating divorce/break-ups
  • Couples wanting to strengthen their relationship
  • Parenting issues and issues of infertility

Because  issues we face often have their origin in family dynamics and early  relationships, a psychoanalytic psychotherapy can provide a way to  understand how we developed our coping strategies, the purposes they  serve, and new options for the future.
